Who are Flexiblers?

Flexiblers (plural) is a word-play deriving from the adjective "flexible" referencing to a person who is or want to be flexible in terms of mobility. We Flexiblers are part of a community of people who take advantage of every part of our life and like to be creative in finding different solutions for everyday activities like getting from point A to point B.

I am for the first time by Flexiblers. What can I do here?

In our site Flexiblers you can offer and/or find the following services:

• Carpool and commuting trips by car or train.
• Sale of tickets for trains, flights, buses or other means of transportation which you do not need anymore.

No. All our services are for free. If you wish to support us with some small amount of money we are very thankful. Just contact us.

Why do I have to register and how to do it?

All person-related information must be protected according to legal requirements in every country in Europe. That is why you need to fill out our registration form before you can start using our tools, insert your information for trips or see information about other Flexiblers. After you sent to us the registration form you will receive a confirmation to your mail with the inserted registration data.

Where can I manage my registration and data of my offers and requests?

You must login to our portal. Just click the button “MyFlexiArea” and here you will change your registration and trips data.

I try to logon and I get the message that my account under this mail does not exist.

There are two possibilities: you wrote wrong mail when you registered or you didn’t login at Flexiblers longer than one year. We delete user accounts which are not up-to-date in order to keep our stored data more actual. Please register again und enjoy our services as usual.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

Just click on the button “Password forgotten?” and enter your mail which you stated during your registration. We will send you immediately your password back.

I get always technical problems using Flexiblers portal. What should I do?

How do I offer a group trip?

You click on the button “Insert” and answer the question according to the data of your trip. After you get the insert mask, please fill in it precisely and click the button “Save”. Please try to give more details for your trip: meeting and drop-off points, stops or gas stations, description of your car, preferences and most important-your price for the trip. The more details you insert,less questions are open for the interested person. After few minutes you inserted it into the system your offered trip can be seen by other Flexiblers.

What to do if somebody calls me and wish to go with me?

First of all make sure that the call is because of the trip you added. Agree on the following:

• Starting point / meeting point and destination
• Means of transportation (car description or type of ticket of railway)
• Meeting time
• Number of passengers
• Luggage (dimension)
• Price

As well we recommend you to exchange among each other the mobile phones in case you get some troubles and you can not make it at this day or time.

How much and when do I take money for a trip?

By car: Normally the average car consumes between 7 and 10 litre of petrol per 100 kilometres. As well you can take in average 2-3 Flexiblers with you on your trip. In order to give a good return for the petrol costs you should calculate between 3 and 4 litres per 100 kilometres by the price of petrol in your country.

For example:

You go from London to Manchester (distance 330 km) and you take 2 person with your car which consumes 9 liter (price 1,10 pounds per liter).

((9 * 1,1 * 330)/100)/3 = approximately 11 pounds. This amount you can offer for other Flexiblers.

We recommend you decide for fix price when you insert your offer at Flexiblers. Sharing the costs depends on the amount of passengers; therefore there can be a big discrepancy between you and your passengers if you go with fewer people than you planed.
Please note that the entire amount of money you take for the trip from all passengers must not exceed the amount which is allowed by legal requirements in your country in order to be recognized as non-commercial trip.

By train: It is very simple. You just share the costs for the trip in the equal parts according to amount of travelling persons.

Which possibilities do I have at Flexiblers to find a driver or owner of group ticket?

You have here two possibilities:

• You insert your own request

If you plan your trip in advance the second option is the best one. But in this case use as well from time to time our search option - other Flexiblers insert all the time new offers.

What should I do if I found a suitable offer?

For the logged on Flexiblers it is possible to see all contact data of all other Flexiblers.
If you are not registered and logged on you can just write a message to the driver or the owner of the ticket. The best and fastest way is to contact the corresponding person per phone or message.

I have a ticket for train, flight, bus, etc. which I unfortunately can not use. I will waste it because I can not give it back to the transportation company. Can I sell it here?

My ticket is quite expensive and I think nobody will buy it. What can I do?

Be flexible and reduce the price for your offer. It is a better solution than to lose the entire amount of money.

How can I transfer my ticket to another person?

If it is electronic ticket just check in the condition of your transportation company the general possibility to transfer the ticket to another person. Fix the price and the way of transfer for money and ticket with the prospective buyer.
If it is normal paper based ticket without name it is advisable to meet in the city for purpose of sale or to send the ticket by the certified mail.

I have to send something today to another city. Can I give it to a driver?

Yes, you can. All Flexiblers offering this type of services are marked with letter sign. Just call or write a message and clarify details with the respective person.

On what do I have to keep an eye before, during and after my trip by car?

There are some aspects which we mention here that you have to take into consideration:

• The entire price you collect from the passengers of your trip must not be higher than your actual petrol costs for the trip. Otherwise you trips can be considered as commercial trip and you can have some troubles according to the laws of corresponding country.
• Responsibility in case of any accident. Usually the third party liability insurances cover these cases but we strongly recommend you to ask your car insurance company about this issue in your case.
• During all trips be sure that all passengers have valid identity card in particular during trips abroad.
• After you arrived to your destination please check that all passengers took their luggage.

To what should I be pay attention by transit or sale of tickets?

First of all check (or ask the owner) if the ticket is not person-linked. That means that you may not use ticket because your name is not at this ticket. As well check data of ticket: date, start point, destination, etc.
